Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura is one of the pilot schools in Delhi to have a Business Lab that offers an active learning environment for the students of the Commerce stream.
The Business Lab is a place where students practise the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom using Gamification pedagogy. Mock business, fun filled activities are undertaken to encourage critical thinking, connective and immersive learning.

Not being far behind to experiment with new technology a computer room was set up in 1990. It was equipped with ten PCs and one PCXT. Now there are fully equipped computer laboratories to cater to the Primary, Middle and Senior departments. These computer laboratories have more than 100 computers interlinked with three Servers (Pentium–IV). The whole school has been covered under LAN connecting these 3 servers.
These laboratories not only have been able to keep our students abreast with the latest in the field of computer sciences but also have equipped them with skills required to survive in this modern world. The students use these labs effectively to satisfy their curious mind and gather information relevant to their course.
At present we have one laboratory each for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Science and Primary Science. These laboratories are fully equipped with the latest infrastructure and play a major role in providing practical experience to the students in their area of study.
The library strives to make resources readily accessible when and wherever they are needed to enhance and promote the total growth and development of the students/staff .It endeavours to provide students with opportunities to learn how to utilize material in a variety of formats to access information so they can continue life long learning. The school library is about empowerment, connectivity, engagement, interactivity and its outcome is knowledge construction. The school library serves as the centre and co-ordinating agency for all material used in the school. To meet this end Bal Bharati has three fully computerized libraries.
Senior Library – It caters to the needs of students of class VII to XII and the staff. It has about 20,000 books which include Encyclopedia, Reference Books, Dictionaries, Almanacs, Yearbooks, Subject books, Fiction, Nonfiction, Biographies and Audio Video material. The library has a computer corner for online references and Kindle.
Junior Library – It caters to the needs of students of class III to V. It has about 11000 books which include Encyclopedia, Reference books ,Dictionaries, Fiction, Story books and other reference material.
Mont Library - It caters to the needs of students of class Mont to IInd .It has about 9000 books which include Encyclopedia, Reference books, Dictionaries, Story books, Pictorial books and other reference material
A Math Lab is a space designed for students to learn mathematics by performing activities and hands on experience. Students are allowed to explore mathematical concepts and verify mathematical facts and theorems through a variety of activities using different materials.
Our school has a swimming pool of 25m X 10m size. Our middle and senior students are taught Bubbling, Floating, Kicking and Swimming up to 300 strokes. Swimming is compulsory till class V.
The School has a well equipped gymnasium to ensure physical fitness for student as well as teachers.
The school provides state-of-the art sports facilities for its students. The sprawling and well- maintained play grounds are a sportsman’s dream come true. The separate lush green Cricket ground, Indoor Basketball Court, Football ground, Hockey ground, Synthetic Tennis Courts, Badminton Courts, Volleyball Court, Gymnasium and Table Tennis Hall offer the students what is best in the field of sports The school also boasts of a Swimming pool, Mini-Golf course and many other sport facilities. The regular coaching provided to the students during the sports period not only helps them to master the games of their choice but also helps in building confidence and team-spirit. The various inter-house and inter-school matches encourage the students to pursue their desired sports. In the ‘Morning Games’ period the students learn the nuances of the games they wish to pursue further. The regular ‘Yoga’ sessions in the morning are also a special feature. These sessions help the students in managing stress and anger and aid in building their stamina.
There is a well-equipped air conditioned medical room in the school with a qualified doctor, a fully trained nurse and a ward boy. The school has a capacity of 8 beds and all the requisite equipment required to cater to the medical needs of the students and staff. The school also has a tie up with Jaipur Golden Hospital wherein a team of specialists monitors the health of all the students at regular intervals. The reports are sent to the parents. There is also a proper follow up. Computerized records are maintained. The school has special amenities like ambulance, wheel chair and a lift to handle emergencies during the school hours. From time to time renowned doctors, conduct seminars for teachers and students on various health issues.
This ‘State of Art’ auditorium constructed in 2001 is well equipped with completely digital light and sound equipment, acoustics, air cooling and fire alarms providing the students an opportunity to educate themselves for life. With a capacity to house more than 300 students, the auditorium on innumerable occasions is used as a venue for various school events like house functions, award functions, inter-school and intra-school competitions, plays and dances, to name just a few.
